The WIT Network

The WIT (Women in Technology) Network has thousands of members globally.  There are over 80 chapters in more than 40 countries that provide a vast and varied network of events, education, inspiration, and networking opportunities!  IAMCP Canada is proud to be a sister organization to The WIT Network.

The WIT Network’s Mission and Mandate

Despite big steps forward over the last decade, the gender imbalance in the technology sector remains a missed opportunity for many businesses, especially in the face of a growing skills gap.  The WIT Network aims to help women seek careers in tech, surmount the barriers that persist, and summit the peak of their profession. Our global network will help drive a cultural and organizational transformation — one girl, one woman, one community at a time.

The WIT Network’s Benefits to Business

We’re lucky to have such a transformative force acting in and on the technology sector.  Mining — instead of undermining– the talents of 50% of the population can redress the skills gap that plagues all tech companies. In addition, today’s fiercely competitive markets mean that growth and long-term success require constant innovation — and that engine is fueled by diversity and inclusion.  A workforce whose members are empowered to meet their full potential can find creative responses to a market’s unmet needs. It’s one of the most powerful sources of competitive advantage a business can cultivate.  Microsoft partners – quite literally – have worlds to gain from The WIT Network.

IAMCP and The WIT Network: A Powerful Alliance

IAMCP Canada is proud to be a sister organization to The WIT Network. WIT became its own global Not-for-Profit organization in September 2018.  Today it is among the fastest and most influential organizations of its kind.
