As representatives of partners within the Microsoft ecosystem, IAMCP seeks to provide the resources, networking and information essential towards building strong and successful businesses for Partners. Part of this mandate includes facilitating a relationship with Microsoft and until recently, this facilitation was done primarily through funding and a more hands-off approach from Microsoft. Until now.
For the first time, in the history of IAMCP Canada and possibly IAMCP Global, a Microsoft Partner Channel Advocate has taken a place at the board table as one of the guiding voices for the 2017 IAMCP Canada Board.
“The partner channel is a critical part of our future plans here at Microsoft”, says Monica Jain, Senior Partner Channel Marketing Manager, Microsoft Canada. “To have the opportunity to listen directly to our partners and take that information back to the team at Microsoft will provide crucial input into our strategies moving forward.”
Along with being a listening tool for Microsoft to the Partner Channel, Jain is also looking forward to contributing her resources, capabilities and information to the Board.
“My goal is to offer as much direct help to the Partner community as I can through IAMCP”, said Jain. “With a seat at the table, I can contribute immediately to the conversations and planning taking place. I’m committed to being an active member of IAMCP and advocate for the channel.”
Having a Microsoft Advocate on the board of IAMCP just makes sense and Jain hopes to inspire more Microsoft employees across the enterprise to take a more active role within their local IAMCP chapters.
